Mobile Support Engineer (MSE)

Our client is a Global bus manufacturer who has a comprehensive and versatile product range with buses operating in over 10 countries globally. They are currently seeking a Mobile Support Engineer (MSE) to join their team in Hong Kong to help provide a high-quality aftersales service to their various customers and to be instrumental in helping our client to be established as the preferred bus and parts supplier in the region, through the delivery of this after-sales service.

Mobile Support Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • You will be the main point of contact for customers, handling daily queries relating to vehicle faults and resolving them in an effective and timely manner.
  • Expected to work primarily on chassis related issues but will also be trained to carry out repairs on body issues.
  • Diagnose both mechanical & electrical faults using industry diagnostic equipment.
  • Provide on the ground technical support to their customer base and ensure that all technical issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • Effectively communicate with team members in Hong Kong, including management, as well as communicating with customer and on occasions, team members in the UK.
  • Guarantee that a professional, high-quality, and efficient service is provided to our customer.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork appropriately and in a timely manner to meet company standards. 
  • Observe health and safety at all times and adhere to company and customer policies
  • To undertake any other duties conducive with the effective operation of the post.
  • Travel to and work at all customer locations as and when required.
​​​​​​Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a mechanic on heavy vehicles such as lorries or buses.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical skills & good technical background with the ability to diagnose and repair faults effectively and efficiently.
  • Experience using diagnostic software to find faults. 
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Demonstrate ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
  • Electrical experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • Holder of valid Hong Kong driving licence.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised.
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime if required.
