Our client is a major global freight forwarder and supply chain logistics provider, they are currently seeking for an Operation Specialist (Ocean Freight) to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end sea freight operations, ensuring shipments are processed safely, accurately, and on schedule

• Coordinate with shipping lines (carriers), overseas agents, and mainland suppliers to arrange LCL/FCL bookings and monitor shipping schedules

• Handle full sets of sea freight import/export documentation independently, including but not limited to Bill of Lading (B/L)

• Manifests, Invoices, Packing Lists, and customs declaration procedures

• Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients, provide regular shipment status updates, and effectively resolve ad-hoc transport exceptions (e.g., rolled cargo, schedule delays)

• Verify carrier invoices, issue customer invoices, and manage logistics costs and profitability

• Work closely with warehouses, trucking companies, and internal sales teams to optimize cargo dispatch and delivery workflows

• Assist in ad hoc projects

Requirements:

• Diploma holder or above (in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or International Trade is an advantage)

• Minimum 5 years experience in sea freight import / export operations within a freight forwarding environment

• Deep understanding of sea freight operation workflows, carrier networks, and standard shipping terms (lncoterms)

• Proficiency in freight forwarding systems (e.g., CargoSmart, EDI, or internal ERP software)

• Proficiency in MS Office

• Work under pressure, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks

• Good in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
