Our client is a major global freight forwarder and supply chain logistics provider, they are currently seeking for an Operation Specialist (Ocean Freight) to join their team.
Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end sea freight operations, ensuring shipments are processed safely, accurately, and on schedule

Coordinate with shipping lines (carriers), overseas agents, and mainland suppliers to arrange LCL/FCL bookings and monitor shipping schedules

Handle full sets of sea freight import/export documentation independently, including but not limited to Bill of Lading (B/L)

Manifests, Invoices, Packing Lists, and customs declaration procedures

Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients, provide regular shipment status updates, and effectively resolve ad-hoc transport exceptions (e.g., rolled cargo, schedule delays)

Verify carrier invoices, issue customer invoices, and manage logistics costs and profitability

Work closely with warehouses, trucking companies, and internal sales teams to optimize cargo dispatch and delivery workflows

Assist in ad hoc projects
Requirements:

Diploma holder or above (in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or International Trade is an advantage)

Minimum 5 years experience in sea freight import / export operations within a freight forwarding environment

Deep understanding of sea freight operation workflows, carrier networks, and standard shipping terms (lncoterms)

Proficiency in freight forwarding systems (e.g., CargoSmart, EDI, or internal ERP software)

Proficiency in MS Office

Work under pressure, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks

Good in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
