Our client is a Global Company that innovates, optimizes and drives the supply chains and marketing promotions of many of the best known brands in the world. They are now seeking a Claims and Recovery Senior / Executive (Marine Claims)  to join their team. 


The Senior Executive for Claims and Recovery will review and investigate claims to help arrive at settlements that are fair or and as according to the claims process protocol between both markets, insurance Companies, Carriers and Suppliers. He/she will communicate with tri-parties throughout the claims process.

Responsibilities

• Process, evaluate and manage all initiatives in regards to assigned market's claims. 
• Analyse basic to complex claims. Manage end-to-end claims management
• Analyse the nature, claims pattern to drive claims improvement aspects for markets.
• Main liaison to manage between Markets, HFM, Insurance Provider and Claimants for all relevant claims.
• Lead, recommend and seek alignment during claims engagement meetings across functions (i.e. with Key KAM /CS/Plan and Book/Document leads etc.) as well as with DC markets as and when required
• Function as negotiator in the event of disagreement in Marine claims
• Compile monthly insurance declaration to insurance broker for all business that uses the HFM managed marine insurance program.
• Training/Best practice Management lead in claims and Quality management to new HFM colleagues/new customer n vendors as part of onboarding programs 
• Category Lead in Marine claims management: review and analyse, and engage with carrier and insurance underwriters on Marine claims to drive improvements

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Business Administration or other discipline.
• 5-7 years of related experience in insurance and claims with a 3PL/Freight Forwarding/Logistics company with proven track records
• Possess experience in Freight Forwarding operations and management with good knowledge in shipping documents and custom procedures 
• Good understanding of claims process; Market practices as well as internal processes
• Independent, resourceful and analytical
• Meticulous with good time management
• Excellent English skills – both verbal and written
