Head of Business and Channel Development (Life Insurance)

Kwun Tong, Kowloon
Our client is an authorized insurer to facilitate retirement financial planning through provision of annuity products in Hong Kong, they are currently seeking for a Head of Business and Channel Development to join their team.

Responsibilities:
 
  • To oversee the business and channel development function which comprises of three teams, namely, Channel Development & Outreaching, Application Servicing Centre, and Sales Distribution & Governance.
  • To take lead in overall sales strategy which includes identifying potential business opportunity with new and existing partners, with the objective to achieve the overall sales target and preset KPIs.
  • To manage the relationship with the business partners and new channels.
  • To manage the licensed sales staff and related administration.
  • To effectively maximise the manpower in the Application Servicing Centre, identify and implement enhancement areas to increase efficiency while adhered to regulatory requirements and risk governance framework; and 
  • To work closely with all internal stakeholders to ensure the deliverables are complied with regulatory requirements and risk governance framework.
Requirements:
  • Degree holder in marketing or business-related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ relevant working experience in life insurance with proven track record.
  • Kept abreast of industry trends, market and competitors’ activities.
  • Insurance Intermediaries Qualification Papers 1 & 3 is a must.
  • Result oriented, self-motivated and strong sense of ownership; and
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
