Our client is a Global Company that innovates, optimizes and drives the supply chains and marketing promotions of many of the best known brands in the world. They are now seeking a Logistics Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities
Logistics Manager (Plan & Book)
Ensure effective ship plan, including coordinating and verifying shipment timeline against products availability.
Ensure Team’s timely execution of orders, including accurate purchase order processing, placing orders with suppliers, confirming orders with customers, preparing and consolidating relevant shipping documents to the customers and etc.
Monitor and compile order management related data for the purpose to support the process of exception handling, such as Change of destination, Detention-In-Transit, Air freight and etc.
Manage and capture planning deviation, thereby identify opportunity for improvements, hence, work on solution and implement solution as part of efficiency gain. This includes delay in ETD/ ETA and etc, with valid reasons, thereafter, evaluate and determine impact to customers and hence, share with Customer Service team to advise customers on alternatives/ solutions.
Oversees efficiency of process and system to ensure organised and timely filing of shipment planning and order management related documentation in accordance to audit requirement.
Develop and monitor performance metrics/data for stakeholders reports and improvements purposes
Develop and maintain effective working relationship across functions to ensure there is efficiency while meeting customer’s requirement.
Motivate team members and continues to cultivate teamwork.
Requirements
Degree in Business Administration or other discipline.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in managing shipment
Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective cross functional teamwork.
Good spoken and written communication skills.
Self-starter and fast learner who can work independently.
Ability to plan and prioritize work and work well under pressure.
Customer oriented and result focus.
Strong experience in planning role.
