Regional Buyer
Responsibilities:
- Execute and maintain the company’s inventory deployment plan to the local market
- Work with the inventory planning teams in Asia/Singapore to understand system driven product deployment change requirements, prioritize changes and coordinate the implementation of these changes with the local DC operations
- Work with sales team to develop stocking plans based on customer forecast and market dynamics
Procurement
- Weekly replenishment of stock & non-stock items based on system reports
- Daily replenishment of out of stock items.
- Planning long term stock commitments
- General liaising with manufacturers and product management
Expediting & Freight management
- Ensuring appropriate freight methods are utilized
- Confirming ship dates & following up past due dates
- Troubleshooting delayed shipments
Inventory Management
- Maintenance of SKUs
- Manage forecast demand and analyze impact on customers’ orders
- Manage excess inventory, slow moving products
- Optimize good inventory turns
- InterCo transfers, Rebates, STD cost management & distribution of specific vendor information
- Monitor and respond to un-forecasted changes in regional demand affecting inventory levels and service levels
- Identify and trouble-shoot products that are underperforming expected service levels and develop appropriate response plans
Requirements:
- Diploma & Above
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience and related business will be a plus
- Strong negotiation skill
- Good spoken and written English
- Familiar with MS office & Oracle System
- Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
